Takoyaki or "octopus ball" is a snack originally from Japan. It's very popular in the country for more than 60 years. This snack was first introduce to Taiwan in 1994 by Japan Boat. It was well accepted and had created huge market. Soon this snack was introduce to other country. Takoyaki was introduce to Kota Kinabalu in 2008 by Japan Boat.
Beside the main outlet located in ground floor Wisma Merdeka Shopping Complex, you can get this takoyaki at other branches near you including Servay Hypermarket Penampang, Karamunsing Shopping Complex, Servay Hypermarket Likas and also Eastern Plaza, Tawau.
Japan Boat Takoyaki outlet at Wisma Merdeka, everytime i went there, i just have to queue up so long to get one. But it really worth for the queue.
Takoyaki was freshly made on the spot. A wall of glass was set up to prevent hot oil from hitting customer.
